English by birth and a mechanical engineer by trade, Simon Lacey, Master Brewer & Founder of New English, served the first pint of New English beer almost six years ago. Since then, his small brewery has acquired a devout following locally and nationwide by concentrating on British-style brews, often bucking local trends with their innovative techniques and attention to quality and tradition.
